Material for Jali work is available in a wide range of thickness that can be selected as per requirement of customer. Material used for Jali Work
Wood
Inspite of having a wide range of material for jali work, often clients prefer wood for cutting to get classic look. However, Wood-Plastic-Composite (WPC) is also being used these days to get wood like finish as it is water-resistant, durable, high moulding capacity, look wise similar to wood with specific strength and stiffness. WPC is best for exterior jali work.
MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard)
MDF is stiff, flat, dense without voids and splinters and usually cheaper than plywood. MDF gives smooth edges on cutting with machines. Hence, it is suggested as suitable material for jali work.
PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride)
PVC is non-toxic, eco-friendly, termite/water resistant, no impact of weather and ageing, have high screw and nail holding capacity along with lifetime guarantee. The PVC jali is a smooth and impeccable product, giving grace to the building and forming its new definition. The designing is as per the taste of aesthetics and craft of the customers, as the PVC jali comes well framed with CNC jali cutting. Available in white color, the PVC jali is available in customizable sizes, with a thickness for interior use being as your requirement, while for the exterior application the thickness that is recommended.
Stainless Steel (SS)
Stainless steel represents corrosion resistant alloys because these alloys do not stain/rust/corrode. Apart from it, Stainless steel is highly durable, high ductility, high tensile strength, temperature resistant, low maintenance, eco-friendly, recyclable. Stainless steel is Electrostatic discharge Safe (ESD safe) as it is poor conductor of electricity and do not produce fumes/vapours/dust when ignite. Stainless steel is easy at formability and fabrication and gives sleek and lucrative designs for jali work and best suited for exterior designing.
Acrylic
Acrylic is a light weight material, much stronger to glass, cost effective and impact resistant. It offers smooth finish to cut work. Henceforth, it is preferred over other materials to full fill the requirements within budget.
Corian (Acrylic Solid Surface)
Corian is also known as solid surface material and is made up of 1/3rd of acrylic resin (polymethyl methacrylate) and 2/3rd of natural minerals. It is nonporous, moldable, water/dust proof, homogenous, durable, non-toxic, repairable, easy to clean/maintain, stain/heat/sunlight/ wear and tear resistant. Corian offers a wide range of colours that do not fade with time, its seamless appearance, fine cutting (without splinters), glowing effects when fitted with light (with engraving) makes it attractive to be selected to achieve the requirements.
